Alejandra Montenegro Almonte and William Barry will speak at the American Conference Institute (ACI) International Conference on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) on December 4-5, 2024.

Barry will present, as part of a panel, "Negotiating a Corporate Resolution: Practitioners Share Insights on the Evolving Landscape of Settlements and Cooperation Credit." This session will cover:

  • Examining current trends in corporate settlements: lessons and takeaway on how to maximize cooperation credit
  • Understanding the role of self-disclosure in today’s settlement landscape
  • Perspectives on what constitutes “immediate” action
  • Examining recent DOJ enforcement activities and statements that outline immediate and extraordinary cooperation
  • Determining the appropriate time to engage outside legal counsel
