Matteson Ellis will speak at the American Conference Institute's, in conjunction with the Canadian Institute, Andean Summit on Anti-Corruption Compliance & Enforcement on December 1, 2015, in Bogotá, Colombia. Ellis will present, as part of a panel, "Convergence of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Corruption Compliance Programs: How To Expand Your Existing AML Policies to Address Bribery Issues." Discussion topics include how money laundering relates to anti-bribery investigations and what are the steps to upgrade compliance programs to cover both and how to expand know your client (KYC) due diligence requirements to also cover anti-corruption due diligence. This conference will discuss risk mitigation strategies and compliance programs and exploring the challenges of doing business in the region.
