Nate Lankford and James Tillen will speak at the Economic Crime Prevention and Risk Management Summit on March 14-15, 2023, in Oslo, Norway.

On March 14, Lankford will present, as part of a panel, "Human Rights and ESG: The Modern Slavery Act, Anti-Corruption, and Thorough Risk Assessment in Supply Chain and Third-Party Management." This panel will discuss:

• General standards for ESG reporting
• Specific reporting and due diligence standards for child labor and conflict minerals
• The Bill of Rights Bill introduced in June 2022 (repeals and replaces The Human Rights Act 1998)
• Norway's Transparency Act
• EU Directive on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence

On March 15, Tillen will speak on a panel titled, "Internal Investigations: Utilising Control Over Global Processes Alongside Local Law Investigations. Navigation Over the Difficulties Between Global and Local Compliance." This session will focus on:

• Who should be in your investigations team
• How to handle reputational damage
• What to consider before making a voluntary disclosure
• Managing the costs of internal investigations
• How to integrate culture and local customs into these investigations
• Lesson learned from the pandemic and what's going forward
