Jorge Castro, Marc Gerson, and George Hani will speak at the Federal Bar Association's 46th Annual Tax Law Conference on March 3-4, 2021.

Castro and Gerson will moderate "Floyd's Panel: Legislative Update," on March 3. Senior staff from the House Committee on Ways and Means, the Senate Committee on Finance, and the Joint Committee on Taxation will provide their perspectives on the tax legislative outlook for 2022 and upcoming policy priorities.

On March 4, Hani will moderate a panel titled "Current Issues on the Capitalization of Transaction Costs." This virtual panel will focus on the Guidance Plan topic regarding the treatment of capitalized costs for Section 355 distributions and certain other costs under Treas. Reg. Section 1.263(a)-5(a). The panel will also discuss the LB&I Campaign and LB&I Transaction Unit issued on transaction cost treatment.
