Scott Flesch will speak at the U.S. Army Materiel Command, Command Counsel's 2025 Continuing Legal Education Program on January 15, 2025. Flesh will present, as a part of a panel, "Industry/Private Practice Perspective." The panel, consisting of former government procurement counsel who are now in private practice or in industry, will address aligned and competing interests arising between the government, prime contractors, and potential subcontractors during the procurement lifecycle. The course will be walk through the stages of the procurement lifecycle, highlighting specific pre-award and post-award matters, including acquisition planning, solicitation, source selection, debriefing, protests, contract administration, and disputes. The panel will survey aligned or competing interests by addressing recent trends (including recent issues in litigation and regulatory changes) and emerging issues (forecasting change to procurement regulation because of the new administration). Finally, the panelists will discuss their overall experience in the private sector.
