Alejandra Montenegro Almonte and Maria Lapetina will moderate panels at the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) International Section 2023 Mexico Global Conference in Mexico City, which takes place October 11-13, 2023.

Montenegro Almonte will moderate the panel, "When and Why Diversity Improves Your Boards Performance," on October 12. The panel will discuss what board diversity means and how it contributes to its performance. Is it just a social trend or does a diverse boardroom can have a positive impact on a company? Panelists will give their point of view of the importance of including a significant number of people who come from various professional backgrounds and belong to different races and ethnicities. They will also discuss the implications of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)-approved Nasdaq Board Diversity Rule, that requires listed companies to have at least two diverse board members.

Lapetina will moderate the anti-corruption panel on October 13.
