Washington, DC

On October 10, 2024, Miller & Chevalier will host the seminar "Sanctions on the Ballot: How Election Results Could Impact U.S., U.K., and EU Sanctions" with CMS and Stephenson Harwood. The two-panel event will focus on navigating sanctions compliance and enforcement across the U.S., U.K., and EU, which have increasingly coordinated on sanctions but also had, or will have, significant elections this year. Caroline Watson will moderate the first panel, "Coordination Between U.S., U.K., and EU on Sanctions," which will focus on the ongoing cross-border coordination on sanctions policies and enforcement as well as key distinctions. Panelists are CMS Counsel Barbara Bayer, Miller & Chevalier Counsel Laura Deegan, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Policy Chief Joshua Jungman, and Stephenson Harwood Partner Sue Millar. Manuel Levitt will moderate the second panel, "Election Year and Sanctions Policy," focusing on the elections' anticipated impact on companies' compliance programs. Panelists are CMS Counsel Barbara Bayer, Honeywell General Counsel Dara Fernandez Perez, Stephenson Harwood Partner Sue Millar, and Miller & Chevalier Member Timothy O'Toole. Register to attend the in-person seminar here.
