U.S.-China Business Council Webinar: UFLPA: A Year in Reflection and Projections for the Future
Nate Lankford will be a speaker on the U.S.-China Business Council (USCBC) webinar, "Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA): A Year in Reflection and Projections for the Future," on October 12, 2023.
This past year has provided importers with many challenges as they strive to comply with U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) UFLPA requirements. With the one year anniversary of the implementation of UFLPA and the recent release of Forced Labor Enforcement Task Force's (FLETF) new UFLPA strategy on August 1, now is a more important time than ever to reflect on enforcement trends, compliance regulations, and the challenges of the past year, while also looking forward.
Speakers, Alexandra Maurer, Nate Lankford, Augustine Lo, and Jason Waite will explore what's next for UFLPA and discuss what importers should expect in 2024 as they continue the hard work of securing their supply chains. This event will be moderated by USCBC staff, Gillian Elizabeth Daley.
