Brian Fleming* and Timothy O'Toole will speak as part of a roundtable event in partnership with Kesarev Consulting and the U.S.-Russia Business Council in Washington, DC on October 29, 2019. The roundtable discussion on national security considerations in bilateral trade and investment in Russia will focus on national security and compliance issues related to the latest considerations for trade and investment in Russia and the United States. Attention will be given to the challenges concerning exports of "dual-use" goods from the United States and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) process and how national security restrictions in Russia are impacting foreign direct investment (FDI) and import substitution policies, particularly with respect to critical infrastructure and engagement with state-owned enterprises.
