More authorities and jurisdictions throughout the world are expecting companies participating in public procurements to have anti-corruption compliance programs. These compliance expectations are going beyond standard anti-corruption components, now including the adoption of controls to prevent fraud, collusion, and other forms of misconduct. To stay competitive, companies should understand these expectations. Ellis and Ayres will discuss these developments using the World Bank Integrity Compliance Guidelines and Brazilian federal and local procurement rules as examples.
