In this article, International Members Alejandra Montenegro Almonte and Ann Sultan and Litigation Senior Associate Marcus Childress* argue that with students, faculty, and administrators poised to return to campus in person this fall, higher educational institutions must prepare for increased allegations of sexual harassment and consider whether their investigations and compliance programs are up to the task. The authors discuss five common missteps in sexual harassment investigations and compliance programs and provide practical guidance to help enhance investigation and compliance processes.
