In this article, the first in a two-part series, Matteson Ellis discusses key aspects that companies and individuals doing business in Mexico should know about Mexico's new National Anti-Corruption System (the Sistema Nacional de Anti-CorrupciĆ³n or SNA). "When it comes to corruption risk, Mexico is not just any country. It is seen as one of the highest risk jurisdictions in the Americas," Ellis wrote. Corruption at the local level and impunity, which are major issues in Mexico, are both addressed by the SNA.
