Jorge Castro commented on expected changes to the political makeup of Congress' two tax writing committees following Tuesday's elections, with control of Congress expected to impact the tax policy agendas of both presidential candidates. "If Vice President Biden wins and Democrats take control of the Senate, then clearly what they can accomplish could be very expansive — significant COVID relief, economic recovery legislation, ACA reform, and TCJA reform," Castro said. "The main question will be what happens to the filibuster rule, which will determine the speed by which any of these pieces of legislation is considered."
