Marc Gerson commented in Accounting Today on how he believes Congress will deal with certain tax provisions, the so-called tax extenders, set to expire at the end of the year. While he maintains that Congress may not act on the extenders prior to the end of the year, he remains hopeful for congressional action. The taxpayer community will likely advocate for an extension of the tax extenders prior to their December 31st expiration date, he said.
