In this blog post, Leah Moushey discussed recent internationally-coordinated resolutions that involved U.S. enforcement agencies and Brazil's Ministério Público Federal (MPF). "According to a chart published in Miller and Chevalier's FCPA Winter Review 2017, Brazilian authorities, including the MPF, have cooperated with the United States in three of the ten largest internationally-coordinated resolutions involving the FCPA [Foreign Corrupt Practices Act]. Brazil appears on the chart more than any other country except the United Kingdom, with which it is tied," Moushey wrote. This cooperation, along with the agency's role as the principal prosecuting entity in Operation Car Wash – Brazil's largest-ever corruption investigation – has positioned the MPF as a valuable partner for U.S. enforcement agencies.
