On April 11, 2012, NACDL participated in a roundtable discussion with senior government officials from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) concerning the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FPCA or the Act) and interpretative guidance the DOJ and SEC have promised to issue later this year in response to criticisms about the transparency and consistency of enforcement under the Act.
