James Gadwood, George Hani, Andrew Howlett, and Maria O'Toole Jones will present to the Tax Executives Institute's (TEI's) Tulsa Chapter on October 22, 2020.

Gadwood and Howlett will present, "Net Operating Losses: The Old and the New." This presentation will address net operating loss carryovers following the CARES Act amendments to Section 172, quickie refund procedures for net operating loss carrybacks, and key principles in applying the statute of limitations for assessment or refund to net operating loss carryovers.

Hani and Jones will present, "Privilege and Work Product: Creation, Protection, and Waiver," a discussion on attorney-client privilege, the work product doctrine, and Section 7525 privilege. The presentation will explain the differences in these three protections, what each can protect, and best practices for preserving the protections.
