Miller & Chevalier was one of five law firms and tax advisory firms nominated in each of the categories for which the firm received an award.

Miller & Chevalier’s Tax Practice

Miller & Chevalier is widely recognized as a leader in tax matters, with one of the nation’s most impressive records for successfully resolving complex tax issues for clients around the globe. The firm’s lawyers have achieved extraordinary outcomes for clients and have litigated hundreds of tax cases in the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Federal Claims, the Federal District Courts, the Courts of Appeal, and the United States Supreme Court, including several of the largest tax cases of record.

Methodology – Americas Tax Awards

In July and August 2012, International Tax Review asked law firms and tax advisory firms to submit examples of their best work from June 2011 to June 2012 in M&A and capital markets transactions, tax disputes, indirect tax, restructuring and transfer pricing. International Tax Review’s editorial staff considered these submissions and the information obtained through interviews with tax directors, as well as peer interviews, for World Tax 2013, its directory of leading firms and individuals, to compile shortlists and choose winners for each of the country and regional awards.
