


Julia Herring focuses on internal investigations and compliance matters, including related to bribery, corruption, and workplace misconduct. She has worked on multiple cross-border matters and counseled on compliance and enforcement protocols. Julia also focuses on tariffs and customs enforcement matters, assisting clients with detentions and penalties cases. Julia is fluent in Portuguese and French.
Prior to joining Miller & Chevalier, Julia was an intern at both the U.S. House of Representatives and at the Defense Intelligence Agency. Julia received her J.D. with a concentration in International and Comparative Law from George Washington University Law School, where she also served as a member of the Federal Communications Bar Journal. Julia earned a B.A. in Political Science and History, with a minor in French, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
